The WordPress Helpers is a labor of love for me. Love of helping people, love of media, love of WordPress.
And I really do kind of love all three. I’ve been creating, building, and running businesses that help people for abut thirty years, and media (words, pictures, sounds, you name it … ) have been part of my passion going back as far as I can remember, Thirty years? Nah. Try fifty. We’ll talk about that.
And as I’ve been putting together The WordPress Helpers, not just as a business unit that would bring in more money than it costs me to run it, but as a media unit that would make sense to you, I’ve been playing with different models for getting the best possible WordPress media content in front of you.
One part of that plan includes an idea that’s been taking over The Internet for a while now. And it goes by different names depending on who’s selling what and to whom, but for right now we’re going with “content curation”.
What’s content curation? It’s where we don’t only create content for you, but also point you at content you can find elsewhere. And it’s a strategy that serves us both.
Again, I’ll be telling you about the pieces of that strategy as we move forward. For now, let me point you at something I came across today that’s driving a piece of the way we do things at The WordPress Helpers.
Here we go. Get ready for the only place you need to be (besides WordPress.com or WordPress.org, that is) for everything there is to know about WordPress.
